Nope, not because of the Mayans, but because life is happening, and it was getting impossible with only four months left to try to overcome the deficits that this convention was running. As we got closer and closer, the prices kept on creeping up until we got into the stupid price range.
From the hall to the t-shirts, this event ran into bills that would have cost somewhere on the order of “oh my goodness, I can’t afford to do this”.
We are very sorry that PopCultureCon is not going to happen this year, but will do our best to make it happen next year. In the meantime, there are other conventions to go to in the Seattle Bellevue area, and that should at least make for a somewhat happy day.
